PRAD REINVENTS THE ART OF “META”
Chic and sustainable metallization is a powerful lever for luxury brands working hand in hand with French liquid metallization specialist PRAD to enhance their bottles and jars and achieve an exemplary ecological footprint. Given this success, the company is making investments.
PRAD’s liquid metallization process is proving a hit with major fragrance brands. Offering distinctive designs that are compatible with glass recycling, this process is enjoying growing success. To meet the high demand, PRAD is expanding its production facilities: by February 2026, its metallization capacity will exceed 15 million bottles per year.
These investments will enable PRAD to offer its customers the full benefits of its latest technical developments, such as highly resistant and increasingly transparent metallization.
Transparency offers subtle plays of light, as seen in the pink and gold metallization of Interparfums’ Jimmy Choo bottle. But the company offers numerous other effects, such as the opaque red metallization combined with screen printing that adorns the jar of the Hong Kong candle from Diptyque’s City Candles collection.
“Liquid metallization, whether opaque, gradient, or our transparent solution, offers unlimited possibilities for innovation and differentiation. We also combine it with laser engraving, screen printing, pad printing, or hot stamping to create unique designs,” explains PRAD CEO Bruno Pierrain.
The company now positions itself as an expert advisor and support provider in eco design from the laboratory phase to combine aesthetics and sustainability. Its chemical engineers design and develop formulas tailored to the most demanding specifications. “Transparent metallization allows us to achieve the desired delicacy and elegance, while guaranteeing exceptional quality and respect for the environment. This technique allows for complete recyclability,” he adds.
These low-energy processes reflect PRAD’s CSR commitment, certified Eco-Vadis Platinum, placing it among the top 1% of the most responsible companies.
